Class Description: Curves without the curved seams! The small quilt features a ball of colorful flowers, while the larger sizes have a boxed arrangement of flowers.
Pattern: Oopsie Daisies! By Southwind Designs ($11.00)
Supplies:
- Washable glue, such as Roxanne’s Glue-Baste-It
- Rotary cutter
- Long acrylic rulers
- 3.5” square ruler or larger
- Marking pen/pencil
- Wonder Clips (optional) for keeping pieces organized
- Sewing machine and accessories, including ¼” foot and ALL PURPOSE foot.
- Your usual sewing tools
- Thread to match each fabric, including the background
- Bobbins, wound and ready
Fabrics:
Refer to back of the pattern and the following notes:
Background: choose tonals or very small prints to disguise the seams. Avoid regularly spaced dots or motifs.
Queen quilt: Choose as many fabrics as desired for the 12 full flowers and 12 half flowers.
Lap quilt: Choose 1-4 fabrics for the full flowers, AND 1-4 fabrics for the half flowers.
Baby quilt: Choose 2-4 fabrics for the full flowers, AND 2-4 fabrics for the half flowers.
NOTE: One Fat Quarter makes 2 full flowers or 4 half flowers.
Green: Choose 1 or more prints. Scraps will do, minimum 3.5” per piece.
Don’t forget Binding fabric to match your flowers!
