Quiltworx: Fractured Star
Thursday, March 5 & April 9 10:00 – 4:00 PM
The Fractured Star was designed as a beginner pattern to introduce quilters paper piecing. The project is fast, uses only 1 foundation block, employs simple cutting techniques, and is a fun way to jump into your first paper piecing project. It is meant to make those new to the process find confidence, understanding and success. Finished size is 80in x 80in.

Class Prep: Watch Kathy Groves’ QUILTWORX 101 video – especially if you are new to Quiltworx patterns. You will also need to prepare your pattern by trimming and bagging the papers and to begin cutting your fabrics. Additional information will be provided upon registration. Supplies:
- Sewing machine in good working order
- Thread
- Wound bobbins
- Open Toe Foot
- Small or Medium sized cutting mat
- Pressing pad
- Iron
- Rotary cutter
- Scissors: paper and small machine snips
- Add-A-Quarter Ruler (12 inch)
- Sew Line glue stick
- Repositionable Glue stick
- Fine line Sharpie
- Small ruler 2.5” x 6.5” or 4” x 8” (or similar)
