English Paper Piecing

English Paper Piecing (EPP) is a hand sewing method of slow stitching that starts with a geometric shape of paper covered in fabric, the shapes are then stitched together to form a design. Work on any project of your choosing. Supplies are available in the shop.
Beginner to Advanced quilters welcome.
Book: No book is required. EPP templates are available at Honey Bee. You are welcome to bring any project that you have or want to work on.
Class Supplies:
This is a hand sewing class. NO SEWING MACHINE IS REQUIRED.
ALL SUPPLIES AND FABRICS ARE AVAILABLE AT HONEYBEE QUILT STORE.
Bring a project that you already have or purchase EPP supplies and projects in the shop.
- Hexagon and Jewel shapes are beginner friendly. There are multiple shapes and sizes available. If you purchase multiple shapes, be sure that the sizes are the same.
- Fat quarters, charm packs and scraps are suitable fabrics
- Small or rotating cutting mat and rotary tools are optional but very handy.
- Sewline fabric glue
- Small binder clips (about 12)
- Hand sewing needles (size 9-10)
- Thread (wt. 40-60)
- Fine tip seam ripper
- Fabric scissors
- Thimble
You may purchase your EPP shapes before class, or wait until we meet to make your decisions.
Arrive 10 minutes before class time.
