Simple Joy Quilt
October 26 & November 9 Time: 10:00 – 1:00 pm
This is a class for confident beginners and intermediate quilters. You will learn/refresh the techniques of strip sewing, subcutting, and making 4 patches. All of these are basic techniques for quilt making. I will also show you multiple techniques to help your sewing become easier.
The first class will be all 3 techniques and you will then have 2 weeks to finish making all the 4 patches before we meet again to sew them all together
Pattern: Antique, a Villa Rose Postcard Design (provided)
Class Prep: Use the fabric requirements from the pattern to choose your fabrics. The important part of this design is the yard of light and yard of dark fabrics. Notice that you can use 8 Fat Quarters or 16 Fat Eighths for the print fabrics.
Supplies:
- Sewing machine in good order
- Thread
- Rotary Cutter
- Cutting Mat
- 6.5” x 12.5” ruler
- Pins
- Scissors/Snips
