Have you ever wanted to see what long arm quilting is all about? We have the class for you! We are bringing in a Handi Quilter National Educator to teach four days of long arm quilting. We are offering 2, two-day sessions where you will get to try out everything there is. The best part, you are part of the action, doing everything in a hands-on classroom setup. Each day will be split up into two sessions, for a total of four sessions over two days.
Day one starts with Long Arm Basics. This class will teach you all you need to know about Handi Quilter long arms including upkeep, loading the frame, threading the machine, and tension.
Day one ends with Free Motion quilting. Learn how to drive the machine yourself, stitching out designs as we progress through the class. Learn tricks to improve your skills and have fun in a relaxed learning atmosphere. People leave this class with confidence in their own skills and ready to tackle any project.
Day two starts off using the Pro-Stitcher (automated quilting). Many people think the Pro-Stitcher just does edge-to-edge designs, but it does so much more! Adam will run you through the program and show you what it's all about. Get basic knowledge of the program and understand how and why functions work the way they do. You will be able to jump right in and have the basic knowledge to custom quilt, with a little more practice. Day two ends with Rulers. Get working knowledge of how to use rulers safely and successfully. You will learn how to use all types of rulers including straight lines, curves, and circles. This is a great class for anyone that has wanted to try rulers on any machine.
Hope you can join us and let Adam show you how fun the long arm can be! He loves to share his love and passion for long arm quilting and is sure to bring his upbeat and fun personality into the mix.
