Class Registration Policy

 

  • Register for classes online, by phone, or at the store.
  • Class fees and rental deposit must be paid in full to ensure your place.
  • Registration fees do not count toward rewards.
  • Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel, we require 7 days notice in order for you to receive your class fee back. Handi Quilter deposits are not transferable if less than 7 days from rental day.

This is an open sew day that the students can bring any Quiltworx pattern to class and receive assistance from the instructor to complete. 3rd Friday of every month. Minimum Students: 3 Maximum Students: 10

Design your own quilt using the Crisscross Star, choosing colors, number of blocks, setting and finished size. As you do so, Nancie helps with the math, offers construction tips and design advice, and generally assists with all stages of quilt-making. Class meets once a month, for three months

The Chubby Charmer is a great BIG bag with many uses! It can be used as an overnight bag, beach bag, diaper bag, retreat bag and much more. This is a large multi-purpose bag made from 2 charm packs, a charm pack and a coordinating fat quarter or you can create your own forty eight 5" x 5" charm squares yourself. It finishes at 14" tall x 18" wide x 10" deep. All supplies are available at Honey Bee and you will receive a one-time 15% discount on pattern, fabric and batting with purchase. June 18th or August 20th.

This is a monthly club for students to learn or improve their hand embroidery skills. They may choose to work with any medium they choose...wool, cotton, etc. CrabApple Hill Designs has beautiful designs which incorporate coloring the fabric with either crayons or colored pencils.

I will show you techniques to make paper piecing understandable and help you understand patterns more easily. Soon you will be on your way to making those perfect blocks through paper piecing.

Take the fear out of creating a collage! I will work with you through the process of fabric selection, piecing, working with steam A Seam II, and building your design and how to finish your masterpiece.

Patriotic Quilters meet the 4th Tuesday of each month. We make quilts for Heroes Night Out, VFW, and American Legion soldiers. We mostly do Red/White/Blue quilts, but do make others for the women soldiers and kids. This is purely charity sewing, so bring your machine and rulers, pattern and fabric (some fabric can be provided if needed). There is a cutting and pressing station at the store. Everyone is welcome, come and join us. Generally 10 am - 3 pm.

This class will teach you to construct a 30" holiday table topper in either a circle or a square using paper piecing techniques. This class incorporates curved piecing, floating points, "S" curves, and the use of templates for cutting purposes. Like other Quiltworx patterns, this project uses bags to organize and streamline your piecing by units. This class is designed for beginning and intermediate piecers.

Learn to make your very own rope bowl! Rope bowls make a thoughtful gift and are useful around the house! Make 2 bowls with The Foxes Tail American made cotton rope. The first bowl will teach you the technique and the next bowl you will be able to add your own design with colorful fabric scraps.

Tucker University (TU) is a monthly series technique classes for the Studio 180 Design tools by Deb Tucker. There are a total of 12 classes in the Freshman year. (with an optional bonus class) Regardless of where you are in your quilting journey, this series of classes is intended to offer an exciting opportunity to build skills and accuracy. This program is great for everyone!

This is a class for beginners and intermediate students. You will learn/refresh the techniques of Half-Square Triangles and Four Patches. I will also show you multiple techniques to help your sewing become easier. Pattern: Wild Rover by Villa Rosa Designs (included in class fee)

2022 Registration is Closed. The 2022 5 @ the Hive is a 10-month block of the month program where you pay $15.41 that includes the February Block at sign up. The regular blocks are 12" finished. Extra Blocks, if you choose to do them, are $10.00 each, including tax. The Extra Blocks, over the 10 months, will be the 12" block borders and miscellaneous pieced blocks to fill in around the 12" blocks. Participants select from two colorways, Buff or Sweet and meet monthly for 10 months on either the first Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. The Sweet colorway is shown here.
