Class Registration Policy

 

  • Register for classes online, by phone, or at the store.
  • Class fees and rental deposit must be paid in full to ensure your place.
  • If you receive an email indicating that your Class Registration Order has shipped, it's a standard notification, not an actual shipment. It signifies that your purchase is ready for pick-up or confirms class enrollment.
  • Cancellation Policy: A refund for your class fee requires a cancellation notice at least 7 days prior to the scheduled date. Longarm rental deposits cannot be transferred if cancellation occurs within 7 days of the rental day.

Come join us for a free club to learn all about using the Accuquilt system! Explore new ways to utilize your strip dies, cube systems and Block on Boards (BOB dies). This club meets on Odd numbered months. (Jan, Mar, May, etc.). The Accuquilt Club for Embroidery meets on Even numbered months.

In this class, you will be given the opportunity to create a simple Rail Fence quilt top from start to finish. You will learn to use different quilting tools including a rotary cutter and ruler to cut your fabric accurately. You will learn how to sew accurate 1/4" seams, and the importance of pressing your fabric before and during the construction of your quilt top.

This is an open sew day for the beginning quilters class to come into the shop and spend the day quilting and finishing up their beginning quilt project. An instructor will be present to assist you as you work through the construction of your quilt.

A fast and fun block in any style. Nancie is there to help with math, colors, and valuable construction tips. She helps you achieve the quilt you want. Class meets once a month for three months.

One-day workshop in the basics of crazy quilting with a modern twist. In this workshop you will create a square using foundation piecing using cotton fabrics! Then we embellish the square using embroidery stitches, beading, lace, ribbons, buttons, charms, broken jewelry, etc. Create a one-of-a-kind piece of textile art! Come join the fun and explore your creativity.

English Paper Piecing is a traditional method of quilt making that is centuries? old. In this method fabric shapes are cut and tacked over a paper template.? Using fabric scraps from previous projects, charm packs, or fat quarters; the? shapes are then hand sewn together to form an array of patterns and shapes.? This methodical method of hand sewing will inspire you to slow down and? create something beautiful.? Perfect for quilters of all levels—no machine needed! The instructor will provide a supply list after signup.

Take the fear out of creating a collage! I will work with you through the process of fabric selection, piecing, working with Steam A Seam II, building your design and how to finish your masterpiece. In this class the pattern is included and provided when you get to class. You will have your choice of several designs. I will show you how to make it your own! It will be a fun creative class! This is a 1-day workshop, be sure to bring your lunch.

Use the Quiltsmart foundation to construct a 38” or 58” star. This measurement does not include the border. With advanced preparation, class time will be very productive. Intermediate to advanced quilters welcome.

Want to explore the modern quilt world? This is a fun class with no rules, freedom from perfection, play with color and create something outside the box! Use those fabric scraps! It is a great way to take traditional blocks and made them modern! We will use scraps...I hope you all have some! It is a very creative class. Come and play!

Weekly clues will have cutting and sewing instructions for you to complete at home. The first clue will be available on August 9 in the store. Pick up the subsequent clues every weekend in August. On September 13, we will come together to solve the mystery in an all-day class.

Stuck on a project? Want company to sew with? Then stop in, set up and let’s sew together! Use our Design Walls – or press on our large sewing tables – it’s all available to you during Open Sew! Kathy is there to help you with your project. From appliqué to traditional piecing to foundation paper piecing, borders/bindings or interpreting a new pattern… Kathy is happy to help keep you moving forward on your project!!

Patriotic Quilters meet the 4th Tuesday of each month. We make quilts for Heroes Night Out, VFW, and American Legion soldiers. We mostly do Red/White/Blue quilts, but do make others for the women soldiers and kids. This is purely charity sewing, so bring your machine and rulers, pattern and fabric (some fabric can be provided if needed). There is a cutting and pressing station at the store. Everyone is welcome, come and join us. Generally 10 am - 3 pm.

Join me as I am Paper Piecing small blocks for a border. I'm using free block patterns I downloaded 10-11 years ago. I'm glad I hung on to them! Bring your own paper piecing projects. I'll help you as needed so bring in that old project you want to finish.

The Scrappy Quilt Club meets on the first Saturday of each month. Collaborate with other quilters and form ideas about using your fabric scraps? Learn new ways to use and store your scraps and where to get new ideas. Each month will feature a different technique/procedure. Club meetings will be discussion/lecture only, no sewing. And you are encouraged to bring your scrappy quilts for show and tell. REGISTER TO RECEIVE MONTHLY REMINDERS
