Class Registration Policy

 

  • Register for classes online, by phone, or at the store.
  • Class fees and rental deposit must be paid in full to ensure your place.
  • Cancellation Policy: To receive a refund of your class fee, a notice of cancellation is required at least 7 days in advance. Handi Quilter deposits are non-transferable if the cancellation occurs less than 7 days from the rental day.
  • If you receive an email message with the subject line 'Order 1619xxxx has shipped from Honey Bee Quilt Store,' it could indicate one of two scenarios. Firstly, the book, pattern, or item purchased with the class is now ready for pick-up at the store (unless shipping has been pre-arranged). We will also call to inform you about the pick-up. Alternatively, if there is nothing to be picked up, the email serves as confirmation of class enrollment.

Reserve a Handi Quilter Long Arm with Pro-Stitcher for the day! The daily rental rate is $165, and a non-refundable $65 Reservation Fee is due to secure reservation. The Fee is transferable if a date change is completed at least 7 days before the booked date.

Patriotic Quilters meet the 4th Tuesday of each month. We make quilts for Heroes Night Out, VFW, and American Legion soldiers. We mostly do Red/White/Blue quilts, but do make others for the women soldiers and kids. This is purely charity sewing, so bring your machine and rulers, pattern and fabric (some fabric can be provided if needed). There is a cutting and pressing station at the store. Everyone is welcome, come and join us. Generally 10 am - 3 pm.

ICE Colorway - The 2024 5@the Hive SPEED SEWING is a 6-month block of the month program with 2 regular blocks per month, where you pay $15 per colorway when you sign-up. The regular blocks are 12" finished. Extra Blocks, if you choose to do them, are $7.50 each, including tax. The Extra Blocks, over the 6 months, will be the 12" block borders and miscellaneous pieced blocks to fill in around the 12" blocks.

Accuquilt Appliqu? Classes - I will introduce/instruct a different Appliqu? Technique in each class ? using your Accuquilt Cutting Machine to create your Appliqu? Shapes. You can choose to replicate one of my samples ? or you can choose your own Appliqu? Design for your quilt. The class will focus on the TECHNIQUE as you create your quilt. Small wall quilts or even Placemats might be a great thing to start with as you build your repertoire of Appliqu? Techniques. This club usually meets on Even numbered months. (Feb, Apr, etc.). Join Us and Be Creative!!

Come join us for a free club to learn all about using the Accuquilt system! Each month we will explore new ways to utilize your strip dies, cube systems and Block on Boards (BOB dies). This club meets on Odd numbered months. (Jan, Mar, May, etc.). The Accuquilt Club for Embroidery meets on Even numbered months.

In this class, you will be given the opportunity to create a simple Rail Fence quilt top from start to finish. You will learn to use different quilting tools including a rotary cutter and ruler to cut your fabric accurately. You will learn how to sew accurate 1/4? seams, and the importance of pressing your fabric before and during the construction of your quilt top.

Take the fear out of creating a collage! I will work with you through the process of fabric selection, piecing, working with steam A Seam II, and building your design and how to finish your masterpiece.

Learn an efficient and accurate method of adding multiple borders to any quilt.

Weekly clues begin on February 23. New clues will be available every Friday at Honey Bee. Follow each of the instructions and sew basic units at home. On March 29, come to class to discover the final design.

Join us at the Open House each semester. Open House is an opportunity to learn about upcoming offerings, meet the teacher, and learn what classes are best for you. Attendees receive priority for registering for the classes. Online registration is open the following day. Register for Open House, and you will receive an email and a text the day before the event. We hope you will join us.

Want to explore the modern quilt world? This is a fun class with no rules, freedom from perfection, play with color and create something outside the box! Use those fabric scraps! It is a great way to take traditional blocks and made them modern! We will use scraps...I hope you all have some! It is a very creative class. Come and play!

The Scrappy Quilt Club meets on the first Saturday of each month. Collaborate with other quilters and form ideas about using your fabric scraps? Learn new ways to use and store your scraps and where to get new ideas. Each month will feature a different technique/procedure. Club meetings will be discussion/lecture only, no sewing. And you are encouraged to bring your scrappy quilts for show and tell. REGISTER TO RECEIVE MONTHLY REMINDERS

Use your scraps, selvedges, or planned color patterns to create a fast, colorful foundation pieced block. This is a fun, easy class that will create a wonderful unique look.

This is a fun evening out to share finishing projects or just getting some help, time to sew at your own pace on whatever you want. Bring that box of 3 year old blocks and decide how to lay them out, bring scraps and try some string piecing, anything goes.

Simple Whatnots Club 13, produced by Kim Diehl, includes 8 fun to stitch small quilts. Project sizes are typically 40" square or smaller. These patterns are approachable and easy to finish with clear, concise directions that also provide tips tricks, and quilt advise. The club will start in February and go through September.
